Hello all! My name is Merisa. I just graduated with a bachelors degree in social work. I'm job training right now I'm doing job training to become a Jaws/computer tutor. This fall I will start my graduate education atWayne State University in Michigan. I'm studying rehabilitation counseling and community inclusion. I was wondering, if there any other grad students on the zone. And what you are studying. Please note I am willing to help anyone who needs advice in college.

not a question about grad school, but about college. Where the heck do I start when it comes to applying. already have a school in mind.

You should look in to the school you are thinking of applying and see what programs are offered and if they have a good disabled services. It doesn't hurt to apply to more than 1 school.

Not only that, but it can also help to contact anyone you know at that university to discuss their experiences there. All universities that I know of have websites, so I'm sure if you google the name of the school you want to attend, you will find their website, and almost all necissary information regarding the application process. As far as the disabled student resources are concerned, if nothing else, call them up and find out what services they offer and get a feel for the people who work there. If you accomplish nothing else from this, at least your name will be known to someone in that office should you actually choose to go there.
